Patna: Providing great assistance to candidates who have a degree in special educational beds, the National Teacher Education Council (NCTE) has told that they can now become teachers for elementary schools.
In the notification of Gazettes issued by NCTE a few days back, candidates who have obtained a three-year-integrated bed-med qualification of the recognized NCTE institutions must be considered for appointment as teachers in class I for V.
However, someone who is so appointed as a teacher will be Mandator will undergo a six-month bridge course in basic education recognized by NCTE, within two years of the appointment as the main teacher.
Previously, the candidate had a special educational degree of the bed has the right to become a teacher for only class VIII in accordance with the NCTE guidelines.
Members of the University of Patna Senate and Inclusive Education Expert, Kumar Sanjeev, said the B ED special education title must be recognized by the Indian Rehabilitation Board (RCI) and not necessarily from NCTE.
He showed that the inclusive education policy was implemented in all state primary schools in 2006 where both normal (general), as well as physical disabled children, received education under one roof so that there was no discrimination that was physically challenged by children.
He said special educators will now get the opportunity to teach at 80,000 government schools in the state.
He urged the state government to allow specific educators to emerge in teacher feasibility tests.
