NCW introduced a personality development program to make rustic girl work ready

Recently, the National Women’s Commission (NCW) has launched a capacity and personality development program throughout the country for girls who conduct UG and PG courses.
After settlement of the program, students will use an online quiz held through ‘Mygov’ where they will be tested for their understanding of what is taught.
Speaking to the Times Education Period, Rekha Sharma, Chair, NCW, said, “Through this program, the Commission will prepare students not only for the labor market, but for their holistic development.
The module included in this program includes work training, personal capacity development, Professional career skills, digital literacy and effective use of social media.

NCW will help these students acquire the skills needed for work and study them to face interviews, because most students lack confidence even though they have a degree.
“This will help them put their best feet during interviews.
Professional career counseling is important to expand employment opportunities.
Students are taught to build resumes and presentation skills.
Training will also empower them to explore career opportunities for themselves remembering their innate strengths and weaknesses.

So far, we have agreed to proposals from 28 colleges and universities throughout the country, then add Sharma.

These programs will include professional development, leadership skills, digital literacy, personality development and interview skills.”
Under the integration session of personal capacity, students will be taught leadership collaboration and the third session will be on digital literacy, further adding Jadav.
Geeta Bhatt, Director, Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Agency (NCWeb), University of Delhi, said, “This program will cover important aspects for girls from marginalized socio-economic backgrounds.
Art facing work interview boards are not taught In any academic curriculum.
As part of this program, female students will be taught to interact effectively on social media and briefly about financial literacy.
