NEW DELHI: The mayoral candidate by the ruling BJP was elected unopposed to the article from the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) on Wednesday, officials explained.
The members of this standing committee at the NDMC were elected unopposed.
For the posts of mayor and deputy mayor, just Raja Iqbal (GTB ward) and Archana (Holambi Khurd) in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had filed their nominations respectively.
Both were elected unopposed at a session of this NDMC House held in the Civic Centre here, ” a senior officer said.
The final date to file nominations for the posts of mayor, deputy mayor and members of their NDMC panel at the BJP-ruled civic figure has been June 8.
For members of this NDMC panel, Jogi Ram Jain, Vijay Bhagat, either in the BJP, also Rajiv Yadav of their Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) were elected unopposed, ” the official stated.
Anyway, BJP’s Yogesh Verma had filed his nomination to the post of manhood, advisory council of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), also has been elected unopposedhe added.
Election into the preceding posts were only formalities through the assembly of the NDMC House because just a nomination every was registered to the posts of mayor and deputy mayor.
From the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) also, the new mayor and deputy mayor were elected unopposed, an official in the civic body said.
Mukesh Suryan, by a ward in Sagarpur West, had submitted papers to the post of mayor and Pawan Sharma had filed his nomination to the post of deputy mayorthat the SDMC had previously said.
The newest mayor and deputy mayor of the East Delhi Municipal Corporation (EDMC) will also be defined as elected unopposed on Wednesday.
