New Delhi: Heavy rain stunning the region of Konkana Maharashtra, and a wide area has been flooded.
Landslides and other rain incidents have caused some deaths in Raigad and elsewhere.
According to the meeting department, heavy rains will continue for the next few days.
News Minister Union Amit Shah spoke with Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray on Friday and took a stock of the situation.
Shah said the center expanded all possible assistance to the Maharashtra government to deal with situations that appeared in the state.

Two more teams have been mobilized for rescue operations – each one for Khed in Ratnagiri and for Mahad in Raigad – from Pune headquarters.
The Army, the Navy and the Air also joined the rescue effort after heavy rain caused flooding that left thousands of stranded.
The Navy has deployed seven rescue teams equipped with rubber boats, living jackets, and Lifebuoys to affected areas, along with helicopters for airlift marooned residents.
Navy Divers specialists accompany each team.
More than 1,000 people have been saved from the flood area.
IMD problems, the commemoration of the Meteorology department has issued a red warning for several districts in the state, indicating that heavy rains will continue for the next few days.
