Mumbai: The National Disaster Response Team (NDRF) on Friday shifted people from Chikhali in Kolhapur Regency to a safer location.
Some parts of the country face flooding due to unrelenting rainfall.
According to the visual of the city of Patan in the Satara District, Koyna River overflowed due to heavy rainfall and flooding nearby areas.
Meanwhile, at least five people were killed in landslides that occurred in Raigad Maharashtra Regency caused by unrelenting rain which destroyed the region for the past 24 hours.
“Five people were killed in Raigad Regency because landslides and floods,” Nidhi Chaudhary, Collector branch, Raigad informed Friday.
He previously told that 15 people were saved from landslides.
At least 30 people are still trapped inside, he said before.
