NDS to catch tree cutting gang

Nagpur: It’s better to be late than never, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has requested Squad Detection Disorders (NDS) to NAB gang offering services to fall trees or cut branches.
In a letter to zonal officers on Friday, the NMC park department highlighted threats due to the gangs.
Seen in several areas in the city, gang cutting trees and branches without having mandatory permits from the garden department.
The fine will also be forced on the poster attached to the tree and install lighting.
After collecting a fine, the right action will be taken against violators in accordance with the protection and preservation of Maharashtra trees (urban areas), in 1975.
Toi has reported illegal logging cases in the residential area where the trees are cut by gangs.
This problem was raised by the Green Vigil Foundation NGO in a meeting with the Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari and other citizenship officials recently.
The NMC letter states that the NDS will now catch the gangs, hand it over to the police and also submitted the first information report (FIR) against those who hired people like that falling trees.
The NDS has been speed due to the staff crisis in the NMC garden department.
The department also sought assistance from zon officials to handle tree logging cases.
