Experts quote the delay in conducting general medical entrance tests and increasing cut-off for medical acceptance as an excuse to soak in the application.
Meanwhile, the number of students who chose to write tests on Tamil increased by 16% because the number rose from 17.101 at 2020 to 19,867 in 2021.
NEET 2021 is scheduled to be held on September 12, 2021.
“Over the past two years, the cut-off for medical acceptance increased by 100 marks.
Students are currently reluctant to take the exam without training because the cut-off for government universities has reached 570 and 580 values.
This year students do not attend even regular classes when Classes are held online.
So, students who are mentally not ready to decide to register after a one-year preparation, “Jayaprakash Gandhi’s career consultant said.
He further said the quota for government school students could be the reason behind the increase in the number of students who chose to write in Tamil.
Student counselors said the delay in doing Neet could be a reason to swim at applicants from Tamil Nadu.
“Because of the pandemic, the NEET exam has been carried out in September for the past two years.
More medical receipts are delayed, students who are not confident and hesitant combine engineering colleges.
If the NEET exam is carried out in May.
Registration will be more than Tamil Nadu , “said Manickavel Arumugam, a counselor student.
From government schools and assisted countries, 11,236 students have registered on the exam.
Last year, around 10,000 students apply for exams.
