Gurgaon: The second consecutive day of Covid-19 vaccinations for the 18-44 age group this month at 37 government session sites saw nearly 3,600 people in this category getting jabs.
While 3,100 people were administered their first dose of Covishield, 473 got their second dose of Covaxin.
Many complained about the less number of Covishield slots compared to the previous two days.
On Friday, people were again seen queuing up from as early as 6am, but all sites had finished vaccinations by noon and many had to leave as there were only 100 slots available for first dose recipients of Covishield.
The entire process was on a first-come, first-served basis.
There was less rush at the six Covaxin sites as out of 1,200 vaccines only 473 were given on Friday.
Covaxin isn’t being administered at government facilities for first dose recipients.
A similar walk-in drive is planned on Saturday as well for Covaxin (six sites) and Covishield (31 sites) for the 18-44 age group.
On Friday, 14,037 people in the 18-44 age group got inoculated in the city.
In the 45-plus category, 2,122 people took the shots.
As many as 108 healthcare workers and 236 frontline workers were also vaccinated.
