Greater Noida: Farmers who will be moved because the second phase of the Noida Airport project has demanded a clear plan from the administration that includes the rehabilitation process and other benefits for landowners.
Public hearing concerning the social impact assessment report prepared by the University of Gautam Buddha, which will be held on Sunday, has been suspended because the administration has been looking for some more details.
The government has also designated the seven multi-disciplinary committee to examine and evaluate SIA reports.
Kunwar Pal Singh (65), a retired engineer from NTPC and residents of Ranthera, are in the panel.
According to him, around 3,800-4,000 families tend to be rehabilitated for the second phase of the project.
The villages of land will be obtained are Karauli Bangar, Delayanatpur, Kureb, Ranthera, Mundhera and mixed.
Among these six villages, most of the land will be obtained from Ranthera, which also has the highest population.
Villagers objected to the rehabilitation plan adopted in the first phase.
