Need to focus on the environment, clean energy: heavy industry ministers

New Delhi: Heavy Industrial Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey on Friday said there was a collective responsibility to focus on the environment and strengthen the nation in the field of clean energy.
Speaking on the Bhel award function, the Minister also respected his contribution to developing non-conventional energy sources, said a company statement.
“In addition to national security, it is our responsibility to focus on the environment and strengthen ourselves in the field of clean energy,” the statement said it.
Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (Bhel) celebrates the annual UTrishtha UTSAV, where ‘Excel Awards’ was awarded at the employees contributed.
Pandey is the main guest and serves awards.
Chairman of the Bhel and Director of Shinghal Philith Implementation Directors at the Board and other senior corporate officials attended the occasion.
All manufacturing units, divisions and corporate offices are directly connected to the event through video conferencing.
Pandey gave an Excel award to 12 teams consisting of 65 employees (including 3 women) from various Bhel units.
Furthermore, he said the Prime Minister had described the strengthening of five pillars under ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ – economics, infrastructure, systems, demographics and demand.
Bhel can play an important role in this initiative, Pandy added.
The Minister also praised the achievement of Bhel to realize ‘make in India – Make For The World’ Mission of the Prime Minister aimed at improving international relations and export.
