NEW DELHI: Union ministry of schooling Ramesh Pokhriyal’Nishank’ on Thursday chaired a meeting by Directors of IISc/IITs/IIITs/IISERs and NITs via Video Conferencing and exhorted there is a requirement to keep the high quality instruction in those Institutes of National Importance besides carrying sufficient security measures for handling COVID-19 situation.
The standing of imparting online instruction, virtual lab classes by those Institutes was reviewed from the Minister.
Critics of the institutes said they have started online teaching because the commencement of first lockdown at March 2020.
A few of the associations also have developed their own program for online instruction and analysis.
They also advised that for pupils facing connectivity problem, the lecture materials were made accessible even for later usage that they may download from everywhere and research.
Teachers have collaborated through internet courses with their pupils and directed themthe official release stated.

Throughout the interview, Shri Amit Khare, Secretary, Higher Education Ministry of Education and Directors of IITs, IISc, IISERs, NITs, IIITs were present.

The standing of COVID instances from the campus of those institutions and managing of circumstances arising thereon by those Institutes was discussed at the assembly.
Even the Union Education Minister amazed the positive thinking and positive responses to the present situation could prevent unnecessary stress among the pupils and teaching community.
An effort from the Institutes could be useful in producing positive air from the Society, stated the ministry.
Minister of State for Education Sanjay Dhotre valued each of the associations for assuring continuation of instructional sessions throughout the covid period.
He encouraged them to concentrate on science and engineering and operate on new inventions to attack the unprecedented challenges caused because of covid.
In addition, he talked about the value of highlighting on hybrid learning how to cater to the schooling demands of their pupils and concerned about the need of executing the National Education Policy to offer world class instruction to pupils.
The ministry advised in the assembly, the agencies detailed their COVID-19 direction plan along with voluntary support expanded to local government for consciousness and supply of required service for management of this situation from the various State.
The Institutes also briefed concerning the vaccination force undertaken to its campus inhabitants in consultation with local government and in accordance with the principles, said the ministry.
With respect to National Education Policy, 2020, it’s noted that several of the associations have already begun new division / multi- accredited applications.
IISc Bangalore and IIT Kharagpur are shortly to begin classes in clinical sciences.
Emphasis was placed by the associations on educators training/ mentorship and Internationalisation in addition to academia- business interaction.
