Neeraj Chopra is good but it’s hard for him to beat me: better

New Delhi: rivals when they have spears in their hands, Germany Javelin throws Superstar Johannes Vetter and Neeraj Chopra happy to be a friend when not competing even though the first is quite clear that young people Haryana can’t beat him at the Tokyo Olympics.
Former World Champion Vetter is a favorite to claim gold, while Chopra is seen as the best Indian bet to end the Olympic medal drought in Athletics in the country.
“He (Chopra) threw a good throw twice this year.
Above 86m in Finland.
If he is healthy and if he is in the right condition, especially in his technique, he can throw away,” Vetter said in interaction with international media.
organized by world athletics.
“But he must fight with me.
I want to throw more than 90 m in Tokyo, so it will be difficult for him to defeat me.” The Duo first met in 2018 in Offenburg in Germany when both of them were trained in the same facility.
Chopra later on the task of three months in Germany under the leading coach of Werner Daniels.
He finished the second behind the vetter in a competition there.
Three years later, the duo met again in Finland during a quortane match in Finland last month and they even traveled together in the same car from Helsinki.
“Neeraj is a very friendly person.
We shared a car for four hours from Helsinki to Kuorlane and we talked a lot about javelin, family, and other things,” answered Vetter for PTI requests.
“I’m always interested in our culture, our countries, how sports that occur in various countries and so on.
We have some good discussion and we talk a lot.” The 28-year-old Vetter won in Kuortane with a massive throw of 93.59m while Chopra was third with 86.79m.
India is 23 years old, the prospect of medal at the Tokyo Olympics, has the best of 88.07 million.
Chopra, on his side, said he enjoyed his time with Vetter in 2018 and again last month.
“We have conversations about Indian and Indian food.
My English is not too good but I managed to talk about sports, techniques, our throws and all that,” Chopra said.
Vetter in red-hot form and he is the only man in the world that has been thrown up to 90m in the last 24 months.
In fact, he had done it 18 times, including a seven-consecutive record of competition between April and June this year.
He even threatened the world record last year, throws 97.76 m in Silesia, Poland to move to seconds in the world of all time lists.
The throw is only 72 cm shy of the old world record of 98.48m set by Czech legend Jan Zelezny.
He may be in his life form but Vetter does not want to be under pressure thinking of breaking the world record during the Olympics.
Instead, he said winning gold in Tokyo would be his priority.
“Not really (World Note).
Javelin Throw is difficult, the technique is very difficult.
Everything must gather.
Wind conditions must be perfect, the surface must be perfect and the technique.” You have to think about it all angles, speed, etc.
I know I’m actually in very good condition, but I don’t want to put pressure on myself.
I just want to enjoy high level competition.
“I just want to see how far it will go and relax.
My first priority this year is the Olympics, not a note.
But you never know.” Asked about restrictions at the Tokyo Olympics because of the Covid-19 pandemic, he said, “I only focus my fitness and performance.
There will be many restrictions in this Olympics but everyone must handle that situation.
Everyone will have it to try to be smart.” Qualifying Round The javelin male throw will be held on August 4 at the Olympic Stadium while the final will be on August 7.
