New Delhi: Champion Olympic Neeraj Chopra on Wednesday Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his active support from Indian sports and athletes.
“It was a great honor to meet with the Prime Minister of Hon’ble @narendramodi at his residence.
Thank you for your active support for Indian sports and athletes,” Neeraj wrote while sharing a series of photos with Prime Minister Modi.
Photos were taken on Monday when the Tokyo Indian Olympic contingent had gone to 7, Lok Kalyan Marg, the official residence of PM Modi for breakfast with him.
Neeraj created history when he became the first of the country to win gold on track and field at the Olympics.
He threw a javelin to a distance of 87.58m to take a gold medal in the Tokyo game.
While interacting with NEERAJ on Monday, PM Modi praised the star athlete and said, “When you throw your second effort, you immediately celebrate it, this can only come behind very confident.” For this neeraj answer, “Sir confidence comes from training, my training is good so I’m sure so I threw Javelin for the second time.
