NEET, APSC PRELIMS today; Assam faced a massive task to do the test offline in the middle of a pandemic

Guwahati: The government faces a massive challenge to carry out NEET and the Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) with all covid protocols in a place in Greater Guwahati on Sunday.
Kecatrupup (Metro) and Kamrup Regency will witness the movement of thousands of students because around 18,000 registered NEET candidates should appear in the All-India entrance test of 46 exam centers.
Including the ideals of the preliminary competitive examination of the APSC (CCE), the total number of examiners tends to be more than 40,000.

“This is a big challenge to ensure the exact movement of a large number of students in one day in the middle of a pandemic.
After the council’s exam was canceled this year, conducting the Joint NEET and APSC examination was the first main challenge so far given the students’ health,” an official said District administration.
“All steps are taken to maintain the Covid protocol in the exam centers, although keeping distance outside the center may not be easier,” the official added.
A total of 141 centers have been reserved in Guwahati and the edges for two exams.
While the thermal filtering of candidates and masks is obligatory as long as they enter, an official of the National Test Agency (NTA) say exam participants will not be allowed to exchange any items, such as bottled water, among themselves.
A maximum of 12 students will be permitted in the exam hall, said an NTA official.
“This is a big problem that there are no positive neet candidates in Guwahati.
However, the police and the government have been intimidated about the crowd that might appear outside the test hall because guardians accompany the exam participants,” added the official.
The Indian government has written to the head of the State Secretary, while the Minister of Education Union has also written to the main ministers to take all possible steps to control all difficulties that might arise to hold an offline test.
The APSC exam will begin at 9:30 a.m., while the NEET exam is scheduled to be held from 2pm to 5pm.
“The two examinations will conclude at 5 pm.
Traffic towards tonight needs to be managed carefully,” the official said.
At the beginning of the APSC, 24,000 candidates were scheduled to emerge from 95 centers in Kumbrup (Metro).
“Candidates, who have not been vaccinated, must provide a valid covid-negative certificate.
All other Covil protocols will be strictly followed,” said Kecatrupup (Metro) Deputy Commissioner Bisangan Pegu.
