NEET-PG Counseling: Petition Letter in SC Looking for Suo-Motu Recognition in Resident Doctor Protest

New Delhi: A letter petition has been submitted at the Supreme Court who is looking for Suo-Motu’s awareness to protest by a doctor against the delay in the Neet-PG counseling.
Jindal Vineet Advocate, has submitted a letter petition regarding the protest taken by a resident doctor led by the Federation of the Indian Resident Doctor Association (Forda).
According to lawyers, this mass protest was produced because the Ministry of Health Union had not taken concrete steps to accelerate the Counseling of NEET-PG.
The applicant in his letter urged the Supreme Court to introduce trials on issues related to economic reservations in the Neet-PG course and started everyday hearings in this issue.
He also looked for directions from the Indian government to form a committee to overcome problems related to doctors who protested.
Furthermore, he had tried to issue direction to Delhi’s commissioner from the police to start an investigation and took strong action on officials who physically attacked the doctors who protested.
In the letter petition, the lawyer has praised the exemplary service provided by the doctor in an emergency faced for two Covid-19 waves saying that doctors are the rescue of mankind from this deadly virus during the crisis.
“For the past two years, doctors have provided services that are exemplary in emergencies faced during Covid-19.
