Vellore: But another MBBS candidate in Tamil Nadu performs a failure of suicide fear in the national feasibility test (NEET).
Students, identified as t soundharya, 17, from a village near Katpadi in the Vellore district, hung himself from the ceiling fan hook using his mother’s juice.
He was the third student in the state to take extreme steps in fear failure in Neet, held throughout the country on Saturday, after Dhanush, 19, Salem Regency and K Regency Ariyalur.
“The girl might commit suicide between 9:30 a.m.
and 9.45 this morning (Wednesday).
His parents worked at the nearest farm.
His mother came home in the afternoon.
He found the door locked and peered into the window to find his daughter hanging from the ceiling.
Lift alarm and ask for help, “said DSP (Katpadi) P Pani.
DSP added that the initial question could not associate other reasons for the girl to end his life than his poor appearance in the exam.
“Based on a preliminary investigation, we suspect that his fear of failure in Neet might have pushed him to take extreme steps,” said Palani.
Soundharya, who completes class XII in Vellore ThottaLayam Girls Secondary Girls’ Scheders, scored 510 maximum 600 values in the council exam.
He scored 381 of 600 marks in a plus one and 413 of 500 signs in the SSLC exam.
He appeared for Neet in a center at a private engineering college in Katpadi on September 12.
His mother, T rukmini, said he had been angry and sad to look bad in the exam and had been pressed over the past two days.
Rukmini and her husband, Thirunavukkarasu, are coolies working in agriculture.
They left home to work on Wednesday morning.
Three Soundharya sisters have also come out.
He is alone at home.
When his parents returned home, they found him hanging on the ceiling.
The Latlateri police registered a case.
The body was sent for post-mortem examination and the police began an investigation.
