The Apex Court has provided a green signal to a 27 percent reservation for other reverse classes (OBC) and 10 percent for the economically weaker parts (EWS) category in the All-India (AIQ) seat for the receipt in Neet as a year criteria this.
Judge Dy Chandrachud and when Bopanna said that he had uphold the constitutional validity of 27 percent reservation for other backwards (OBC) to enter the NEET-PG.
However, for the EWS category, the Supreme Court said that the 10 percent criterion, which was notified will continue to operate for this year so that the receipt process should not be dislocated for the current academic year.
The court said that it would hear a problem related to EWS then and registered it for March 3, 2022, for further hearing.
The court noted that there was an urgent need to begin the counseling process and therefore issued several temporary directions.
Meanwhile, the Federation of the Association of Doctors Resident (Forda) on Wednesday asked the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC) to take the steps needed for the commencement of NEET-UG 2021 counseling.
In a letter, Forda thanks the declaration committee of the NEET-PG Counseling Schedule 2021 immediately after the announcement of the assessment by the Supreme Court.
