Geneva: Covax dosage sharing facility expects to have 1.9 billion doses of Covid-19 vaccine available at the end of the year, including 1.5 billion intended for the poorest countries, said Nguyen Managing Director on Tuesday.
The Gavi vaccine alliance, who runs Covax with the World Health Organization, expects “a very strong increase in the availability of Covid-19 vaccines” to the fourth quarter, he said.
Covax, who has distributed around 95 million doses to 134 countries since the end of February, was diversifying his portfolio and negotiating with new suppliers, he said.
