New Delhi: Minister of Transportation Kailash Gahlot put the foundation for the first public electric vehicle (EV) charging Plaza at the Delhi Transport Corporation Bus Terminal (DTC) Nehru Place.
EV charging Plaza will be completed in a month.
“We move closer to the agenda we develop innovative filling infrastructure and EV ecosystems in the national capital and we are happy to collaborate with Convergence Energy Services Limited (CESL), which comes with expertise in EVS and filling infrastructure in this country,” Gahlot said.
“We are also in the process of deliberations about adding 20 other sites from the transportation department in the next installation phase other than 100 public filling stations to be installed through open tenders.
This will significantly relieve the transition to e-mobility for public transportation and then for residents Delhi, “he said, adding that since the launch of EV Delhi’s policy last year, there has been a significant increase in the number of vehicles, with more than 17,000 registered EVs.
CESL, a subsidiary that is fully owned by limited energy efficiency services, the Ministry of Strength, will develop public EV charging and battery exchange stations in seven terminals and DTC depots in Delhi, in collaboration with corporations.
Each of the seven locations will have a total of six charging points, three of them will be for two and three and three-point wheels that can fill four wheels.
