New Delhi: National Education Policy does not imagine a one-year engineering program in Indian language, education minister Union Dharmendra Pradhan said on Monday.
Pradhan made a statement in response to a written question at Lok Sabha.
“Nep does not imagine a one-year engineering program in Indian language.
However, NEP has made recommendations for the use of maternal and local languages as a medium of instruction and offering programs in the high education system,” he said.
“All Indian Councils for Technical Education (AICTE) have given approval to Nineteen Engineering College to provide technical courses in six Indian languages for engineering programs in 10 states from the academic year 2021-22,” he added.
