NEP Purpose To Improve Past Anomalies: Union Minister

Jammu: Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Sunday said the goal of double the national education policy (NEP) 2020 is to improve the anomaly past and introduce contemporary provisions that are in accordance with the current global trends.

He discussed the University teachers cluster here in the interactive academic program on the NEP-2020, which was held as part of “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”.

The Union State Minister for Personnel said the largest anomaly in the previous education policy was the nomenclature itself and the Ministry of Human Resources Development (HRD) was mistaken, which was wrong in having other connotations.
He further said when India has now become a part of the global world and is being recognized as “JAG Teacher”, the educational parameters must be in accordance with global standards if they have to compete and excel globally, according to a statement issued by the Statement of the Ministry of Personnel.
Singh said one new provision of NEP-2020 in the form of several entry-and-ex-options is something that must be appreciated because this academic flexibility will have a positive impact on students in connection with various career opportunities at different times, depending on their intrinsic tendency and inherent talent .
He also said the incoming and exit options can be chosen in the future for teachers too, giving them career flexibility and opportunities to improve as those carried out in several western countries such as the United States.
Said that one of the objectives of the NEP-2020 was de-linking degrees from education, Singh said the degree of education with education had taken severe victims on the state and community education system as well.

The minister stated that technology intervention in education was a gift for this generation students and emphasized that the teacher must also be able to compensate for students, which moved forward too quickly because of the accessibility of information, road, meaning and talent.
He said when the community had become neutral and a gender neutral language, it must be a neutral teacher now so that the Indian education system is bilateral phenomenon.
Singh said besides student education, as important as the education of teachers, parents and elders because the challenge is not only optimal education but to prevent “dis-education”, which has never been discussed.
During the interaction, the main secretary, Jammu and the Kashmir Higher Education Department, Rohit Kansal said education and ideas lies in the heart of achievement, and society full of ideas, full of vision will eventually develop and lead others.
Professor Bechan Lal, Deputy Chancellor, Cluster University, Jammu, in his remarks address, said the NEP-2020 was widely accepted and valued because of his creative provisions.
