NEP to change educational institutions to be a world class center: Union minister

Bhubaneswar: National Education Policy (NEP) Launched by the Modi Government will change higher education institutions to world-class centers, UI Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said on Friday in the Capital of the State of Bhubaneswar.
Pradhan made this comment while inaugurating the Pushpagiri college hall complex and Rishikulya Hall of Residence at IIT Bhubaneswar here.

“This is not just a policy but visual documents for our future aim to form a student-centered education system by empowering students with the flexibility and strength of choice,” the Union minister added.
He said IIT Bhubaneswar as a leading educational institution in Odisha had to lead in the implementation of effective NEP, 2020, and paved the way for holistic and multi-disciplinary education and thus helped the parts of poor society.
With the spirit of ‘first nation’, youth will become a relatively independent Torchbearers of India in the 21st century.
Pradhan said the trade union government has taken various steps to provide opportunities for our teenagers by supporting higher educational institutions by all means.
The Minister expressed happiness when inaugurating the largest college complex and dormitory in Odisha and hoped that additional infrastructure facilities would allow students to fight for greater excellence.
With a focus on quality research and innovation, IIT has indeed become a symbol of Indian progress and success in higher education, he added.
He praised IIT Bhubaneswar for the excellence of quality teaching and education.
On this occasion, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between IIT Bhubaneswar Director, R.V.
King Kumar and Chair of the Skill Development Institute (SDI), Bhubaneswar, Ranjan Kumar Mohapatra in the presence of Dharmendra Pradhan.
This MoU is intended to improve skills development activities for idle youth, less employed and disadvantaged by relevant technical education in the industry under the expertise and guidance of IIT Bhubaneswar.
Pradhan said collaboration between IIT, Bhubaneswar and SDI, Bhubaneswar would help to overcome local problems and environmental problems in Odisha who were prone to disaster and thus acting as a role model for the entire country.
