NEP will be implemented from this academic year: MU VC

Mangaluru: Mangalore University prepares for the implementation of national education policies (NEP) from this academic year, which is expected to begin in October, said Mangalore University Vice-Chancellor P s Yadapadithaya, at the Academic Council meeting held on Wednesday.
The university will introduce a four-year undergraduate program in various disciplines.
In the four-year appreciation program, a student can choose the main subject in art, science or trade.
Some outgoing options are available.
Yadapadithaya said students would take a research project in the fourth year of the program.
The university has plans to offer undergraduate programs in forensic science.
The board has also approved regulations governing certificates and diploma programs in goods and services (GST).
Naac’s re-assessment he said that Mangalore University was not satisfied with B-grade issued by the National Assessment and Acreditation Council (NAAC).
The university has decided to immediately rejuvenate.
A consultant has been appointed to help the university prepare a reassessment.
Previously, the University had received value.
Kodava will be introduced universities have also decided to introduce Kodava as an optional language for degree programs.
The Academic Council provides its nod to introduce Kodava as an optional language for degree degree programs affiliated with Mangalore University.
