KATHMANDU: Nepal’s Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Monday almost put the foundation stone of Nepal’s first-ever liquefied oxygen plant at the Lumbini Province that helps cater to increasing domestic demand and decrease oxygen from India, endangering the next tide of Covid-19 pandemic.
The plant has been installed in Simarhawa of Rupandehi district in the state.
The nation was facing a lack of oxygen and oxygen tanks as the next tide of Covid–19 struck Nepal, Prime Minister Oli noticed while laying the foundation rock from his official home Baluwatar.

Surplus oxygen generated from these plants may be exported to neighboring countries or used for industrial purposes after the pandemic had been finished, ” he pointed out.
The oxygen plant under construction is anticipated to aid substitute oxygen from India.
