Key charges, which posed when Dr.
Mark John, was friends with a 50-year-old victim on Facebook in July.
After that, with the pretext of sending a birthday present from 37 lakh US dollars, gold ornaments, leather feet, e-fraudster made it gradually transferring the amount to the bank account through the three who disguised as agents.
Last week, a 70-year-old neruler widow registered fir because of being cheated by Rs 10.64 lakh by two cyber criminals with the pretext of sending gold and dollars for his social purpose.
On July 12, fraudsters make Video calls WhatsApp from the mobile number based in the UK and show him a gift containing a lot of US dollars, gold, watches and leather items.
He tells him that his agent will contact him for giving a gift to his residence.
But the victim gave him his friend’s address.
On July 13, Rishi Jha’s agent contacted him and made him transfer RS 29,000 to a bank account that claimed it was a courier fee.
On July 15, Jha made him transferred Rs 1.50 lakh to a bank account as a foreign exchange cost for the 37 lakh US dollar.
Then, two more agents, Jai Shah and Sumeet Mishra, made him transfer Rs 6.50 lakh as tax.
On July 17, Shah’s agent made him pay Rs 5 Lakh to get an international monetary fund certificate.
He regulates this number too.
However, when Shah told him to pay Rs 4 Lakh more for the IMF certificate of the International Monetary Fund on August 5, the victim told Jha that he had no money and would pay later.
Therefore, Shah told him that he would send a gift package and certificate only after he made a payment.
That’s when he realized, he was cheated and registered firmly against them at the Nerul police station on Friday.
