Panaji: By paying attention to the election of the cave scheduled early next year, the Head of Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Head of West Bengal Minister Mamata Banerjee held a private meeting with MLAS and local political parties on Friday.
Although this meeting was described as “courtesy calls”, they did indeed rise to speculation that Western Bengal’s clothes tried to convince Goan Parliament to join TMC Bandwagon.
Madkai MGA MLA Ramakrishna Dhavalikar together with his brother Pandurang, the head of the MGP party, met Banerjee at the Goa International Center (ICG).
Independent Mla Rohan Khaunte and Lone NCP MLA from Benaulim Churchill Alemao also met Bengal CM West, where they called for the opposition forces.
“Mamata Banerjee is a high leader and he has come down to Goa.
Prashant Kishor has been related to me and we have one or two meetings.
This is a courtesy call to meet him and understand what his vision is for Goa, what is the plan for Goa,” Khaunte said after Meeting.
With the selection of only three months away, Khaunte said that all political parties needed “on the same platform to see that the government came home”.
Alemao, who took his daughter Valanda for her meeting with Banerjee, delivered a sentiment similar to the TMC head.
Ramkrishna Dhavalikar, a former CM representative, said that the question of the Alliance with TMC did not appear because Banerjee had firmly stated that his party would oppose all 40 seats.
“He has stated that he will oppose all 40 constituencies, so the question of the Alliance does not arise.
And we also say that we will not join the other party,” Dhavalikar said.
He said that if the leader of Congress Rahul Gandhi invited MGP for a meeting, he would leave.
