Friday, following the recommendation of masking in a room issued by the US center for controlling and prevention of disease that day.
State officials said they expect a three-day grace period to give business time to adapt to new guidelines that affect residents regardless of vaccination status in 12 of the 17 countries.
“Business and residents in districts with substantial or high transmissions are very urgent to adopt changes as soon as possible,” said state health officials in a statement.
Reno officials said on Tuesday that they planned to need a mask at their facilities, which included a city hall and an indoor pool, starting on Wednesday.

Most new infections continue to be among people who are not vaccinated.
What is called a breakthrough infection, which generally causes lighter diseases, can occur in people who are vaccinated.
Nevada’s indoor mask requirements will apply to Reno, Las Vegas, Carson City, Elko and other cities.
The Country Gaming Control Board confirms the mandate to apply to casinos in the district with a high transmission rate.
