Prayagraj: Nehru Technology Institute Nehru Lone Nehru (MNNIT), Allahabad – will soon get a new modern academic building, decorated with all the latest facilities, soon.
The building will be built at the cost of Rs 37 Crores.
The Ministry of Education Union has provided budget sanctions for buildings to institutions.
According to the Director, MNNIT, Prof.
Rajeev Tripathi, “in turn now has entrusted the responsibility of the construction of the Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the central body which previously also took vital construction work on his campus.” This three-story building (ground floor + two floors), will be built near the existing Institute Library.
In addition to libraries, bathrooms and power reserves, buildings will have a high-tech conference room and lab with advanced equipment, he added.
As soon as the building is over, several departments, such as humanities and social sciences, mathematics, and electronics and communication techniques, can move into it, and others who overlook the crisis room can be given space on the site emptied, Prof.
Tripathi said.
It is necessary to mention that in 2019, the central government has directed the implementation of quotas (EWS) which is weaker 10 percent in educational institutions.
Below, 25 percent of seats increase in institutions, including in MNNIT.
The new building is being built to alleviate the lack of space and resources caused by a gradual increase in seats at the Institute under the EWS quota.
After increasing the chair, the need to increase infrastructure is felt.
With a higher percentage of students, it becomes very important to improve infrastructure too appropriate, the director explained.
Prof.
Tripathi said that detailed proposals were prepared and sent to the Ministry of Education Union for approval and sanctions on the necessary funds.
Now funds worth RS 37 Crores have been approved for this and the Institute has entrusted the duties of the construction of this new building to CPWD, which will soon begin construction on the site chosen on campus on campus.
It has started a land testing work, he said.
