‘New appointment policy will strengthen health facilities’

Ranchi: The day after the Jharkhand Cabinet gave his approval to the Ministry of Health, medical education and family welfare proposals to frame new appointment rules to recruit professors and assistant professors in medical colleges based on contracts, Banna Gupta, on Wednesday called a new policy as a ‘history’.
He said that it would not only strengthen health care facilities but also improved medical studies at Jharkhand.
While talking about policy advantage, Banna said, “With a new policy, we will ensure that all empty posts are the earliest filled, so the academic session can begin at this time.
Our students have suffered a lot because of the control of the National Medical Commission (NMC) on the receipt process Three new medical colleges (Palamu, Hazaribag and Dumka) in Jharkhand.
Having NMC allows acceptance to take place, we will employ 300 doctors who aspire high last year.
“Last year, NMC did not allow receipts to take place at Palamu Medical College, Dumka and Hazaribag by quoting a lack of special faculty members.
The workforce contractual system has a massive friction rate in Jharkhand and when TOI asks for Banna about it, he said, “Even though it is true that the contract system is tainted by protests, as we have seen in the past, we must remember that person – People protested when they were not paid for their work and were forcibly removed even when they had not made a mistake, the practice followed by the government before.
In a new policy, we have made it a point to ensure that the benefits of employees are not affected at any time.
“Under policy New, a professor will be paid a salary starting from RS 2.2 lakh to 2.5 lakh while a professor associate will be paid monthly remuneration between Rs 1.88 lakh and Rs 2 Lakh.
This policy also states that faculty members will be appointed for a period of two years and he will have the opportunity to become a permanent staff during his tenure.
Asked whether a new policy only applies to new Medical Higher Education, Banna said, “It will be effective for all medical colleges and for each department or superspecialty hospital that requires resources.” After contact, a senior health department official said that there were more than 200 empty posts throughout the state and they needed to be fulfilled earlier.
