Thiruvananthapuram: Even when the state government is awaiting approval from the Indian Election Commission (ECI) to the Head of the Main Election of the State of Sanjay M Kaul to hold additional accusations in the state government, the latest notification of ECI said that he could not hold another post in the state government part while becoming a CEO.
“Sanjay Kuli will stop holding on and submit to all allegations or every accusation of work under the Kerala Government he holds before the office assumption,” said the command by the main Secretary ECI PK Sharma (accessed by TOI).
Furthermore said that while functioning as CEO Kerala, he would not have any additional costs under the state government except that he must be appointed as Secretary of the State Election Department.
This is usually done to ensure budget support from the state government.
However, it is not clear whether ECI will reconsider the decision after the demand for the state government.
The state government has asked ECI to allow Kaul, appointed as CEO, to maintain additional allegations in the state government, including as Secretary (Financial Expenditures) and Chair and Managing Director Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC).
Usually, when all-Indian service officers leave the country to representatives both to the center, autonomous bodies under the center, constitutional bodies such as ECI or to other countries in inter-cargo deputation, the service of officers in the state government was stopped during that period.
However, the state government has made extraordinary steps, subject to permits from ECI, to submit secretary positions (financial expenditures) and CMD, KFC, to vows that have taken over as CEO of the country.
The state has taken such a step after a shortage of extreme senior officials in the ranks of secretaries and major secretaries.
The CEO, which is an ECI representative in the state, was chosen by the Commission from the three-official panel.
The Commission considered their official records, their previous experiences in the selection process, etc., before choosing one name.
There is an instance when the Commission has rejected all names and has asked for new names.
In the latest example, it was reported because of the lack of extraordinary officials, the country only sent two names to ECI.
The Commission chose Kaul, a 2001 batch officer in the rank of secretary, to the post as he had a function as an additional CEO during the selection of assembly that had just been concluded.
