Ludhiana: Even when Covid’s case witnessed falling, this district faces other health challenges.
The case of dengue fever is reported and larvae are found in various parts of the city.
The Ministry of Health has prepared a plan to overcome the disease transmitted through vectors, including dengue fever, malaria and chikungunya.
In accordance with the recent health department data, the number of confirmed dengue fever cases reported from Ludhiana until July 1 is three, all in urban areas.
Three patients included a 28-year-old woman in a civilian queue, a 55-year-old man from Jamalpur and a 37-year-old woman Chander Nagar.
Last year, the number of cases of dengue fever in Ludhiana was 1,355, which was the second highest in the last five years.

In the National-Vector National Disease Control Program (NVBDCP) and the recent water monitoring committee meeting, it was said that the entire city population was at risk.
The meeting persists that these diseases cannot be prevented or controlled without active participation from various departments, civil and public bodies.
Civil Surgeon Dr.

In addition to city corporate units, we have formed 18 teams of each two members, including the assistant of Malaria (AMO) officers, to control this disease.
These teams have been Visiting each sub-division to check the larva.
We also divide the city into two parts and male supervisors and multi-purpose health workers to monitor high-risk areas, where mosquito breeders also become representatives.
“Civil surgeons said they had advised people to wear full clothes and use mosquito drugs.
Residents feel the department concerned must often fogging in their area.
“City corporate officials have not done fogging in many areas even though they do it in the Ludhiana (Western) constituency,” said Keemti Rawal, a social activist who lives in Chander Nagar.
