New Delhi: But another Congress leader from Uttar Pradesh has been out of the party to join BJP ahead of the election of assembly in the state.
Former Union Minister of RPN Singh on Tuesday resigned from the main membership of the Congress with a direct effect.
Singh, who joined BJP in front of Union Minister Dharmedra Pradhan, announced that he marked a new start and would contribute to the development of the nation.
RPN Singh is a former Union Minister after Jyotiraditya Scindia and Jitin Prasada to switch sides from Congress to BJP.
He was from Khushinagar at Uttar Pradesh and was the Minister of State for a house in the UPA government.
Shortly after his resignation, Singh piled up praising the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He is a party responsible at Jharkhand and credited by helping the party win the country with an alliance with Jharkhand Mukti Morcha.
Congress reacts strongly to his exit and calls him “coward”.
“The battle fought for by the Congress Party can be fought only with courage …
It requires courage, strength and Priyanka Gandhi Ji says that cowards cannot fight it,” said Congress spokesman Supriya Shinper.
The head of the Jharkhand Congress Rajesh Thakur said Singh’s wrong decision was wrong.
“Sad.
Many on charges have come and leave, it doesn’t matter.
He must have decided after a lot of thought.
We are a true soldier Congress, we will live and die here.
We think the decision is wrong,” he said.
In the past two years, Congress has lost several young leaders such as the Jyotiraditya Scindia, Sushmita Dev, Jitin Prasada and Priyanka Chaturvedi.
