NEW DELHI: For 3 days beginning Thursday, all personal and business vehicles heading into Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport’s Terminal 3 will probably need to pickup and fall passengers throughout the multi-level vehicle parking (MLCP) place between 4pm and 7pm as proposed maintenance function to be completed at the forecourt of both T3, an official said on Wednesday.
The airport owner, Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), stated all personal vehicles could be permitted a free span of 3 hours to pickup passengers in the MLCP region, but all of the industrial vehicles would nevertheless be billed based on the present parking prices.
All vehicles seeking to pickup passengers will soon be transferred into level-1 of this MCLP region, while passengers along with their loved ones hitting the airport wil be directed via signages and obstacles at the entrance to Lane 3, DIAL stated.
“Along with traffic police, DIAL may even deploy Raxa Guards to guide these vehicles to attain the MLCP region.
In addition, passengers may also get updates via airport social media addresses,” stated a DIAL spokesperson.
The official stated that, through the maintenance job, there will be limited distance at the forecourt area and, thus, a sufficient distance was given in the MLCP to assist passengers commuting farther in the airport.
The area comes with various services, including F&B counters, ATMs, washrooms, babycare space, waiting couch and portable charging channels, along with other conveniences.
Presently, with just Terminal 3 in functionality, Delhi airport is currently functioning at a lower capability and is managing around 40,000 passengers every day.
