Ahmedabad: The Government of Gujarat on Wednesday brought four bureaucrats to the office of the Minister of CMO (CMO), including a new additional head secretary.
The development was played even as a plan to swear in the first cabinet under Minister Bhupendra Patel suspended.
In the first bureaucratic reshuffle below the new cm, Pankaj Joshi, an IAS 1989-batch officer, has replaced Manoj Das as the Head of the Additional Secretary (ACS) in the CMO.
Joshi has held several important positions in the government of Gujarat for 20 years including in the Department of Land, Income, Energy, Urban Development, and Education.
In his last post, he was the Head of the Additional Secretary, Finance.
Along with Joshi, the government has appointed Avantika Singh, 2003-batch officers of IAS, as a new secretary for Minister Patel.
He replaced Ashwini Kumar.
Singh, Deputy Chair and CEO of Gujarat Maritime Board, will continue to hold additional costs in the state of the Maritime Supervisory Agency, the government said in separate notice.
Similarly, Joshi will hold additional costs as ACS in the Ministry of Finance.
The government also appointed Dr.
M D Modia, which is the Bharuch collector, as the officer in particular (OSD) to the minister.
Modia replaces K N Shah.
Yogesh Chaudhary, a 2016-Batch officer IAS, will hold an additional fee as a Bharuch collector.
The fourth official to be moved out of the CMO is D H Shah, who is also an OSD to CM.
He has been replaced by N N Dave, who is Commissioner of the City representative from Ahmedabad.
