Mangaluru: New Guidelines from the State Government, after Covid-19 Cases of Omicron variants reported, have recognized plans for New Year’s Eve celebrations from many hotels and watering holes in the coastal city.
Restrictions have been enforced, because events are planned for New Year’s Eve.
Last year too, there were not many pora parties during the New Year’s Eve, and several companies planned for several events, because of the low Covid-19 case.
“It is a tradition at our facilities every year, to host the Gala New Year’s Eve, and our customers are invited to the celebration.
This event is like offering our gratitude to our customers, which has become our support and strength throughout the year.
However, We have not been able to do well-organized events for the past three years, “said B N Girish, Vice President, Marine Mutiara, Mangalore.
He added that the industry had taken, and was fine now.
“We will follow the government guidelines, and there is no celebration this year,” he added.

Hotels near Damodar Shetty, Mitra, Prestige in Balatta, said that the restrictions were put in place when they planned for the new year celebration.

The owner of Foodland Hotel, Ashish Shetty, said that there was still uncertainty among people, that guidelines could change at any time.
“We adopt the waiting and watching policies,” he said.
