The surge in the Covid-19 case is driven by the appearance of the new SARS-COV-2 variant.
However, we have not seen a large or significant genome change in the virus in the past four months.

Those who are vulnerable to give up, or have been vaccinated.
So, the size of the vulnerable population is also reduced overtime.
“At the SARS-COV-2 endemicity, Dr.
Banerjee said,” Viruses generally continue to mutate with a more benign form over a period of time to survive.
More ferocious versions die with the host.
People with medium to symptomatic infections generally isolate themselves, which further inhibits transmission.
Virulent strains like that do not perpetuate.
Only those who cause mild or no symptoms tend to gradually transmit.
The mild version of the virus will not cause severe illness.
