New facilities at CIMS waiting for water connections

Mysuru: The newly built hospital connected to the Chamarajanagar Medical Institute (CIMS) is awaiting a water connection.
The project for drawing bulk water from the supply line for industrial use has not been implemented, and this was delayed the launch of a 450 bed hospital built at a cost of Rs 160 Crore.
CIMS uses a district hospital as a teaching hospital because the five-story structure has not been opened for patients.
At present, hospitals use Borewell water to meet their needs.
But it will not be enough after the hospital is inaugurated and opened for general use.
This building also lacks security staff.
This new facility has appeared on a land of 31,000 square meters of more than 2.3acre from 10acre land approved by the government at the Yedapura campus.
Work, which began in early 2018, was built around four years.
Because new hospitals have seven points in and out, CIMS has initiated the security staff recruitment process.
Maintaining the 10acre campus is very important, because it also manages the movement of patients, their servants, vehicles, hospital staff and others.
Toilet construction for security guards is also delayed before authority.
This five-story building has facilities such as outgoing patients, wards, laboratories, emergency wards, main operating theater, medical personnel, teaching rooms, administrative services and other rooms.
After the hospital open, it will have 750 beds.
“The district authorities and district administration have made all plans to get a newly built hospital inaugurated by the President.
But the water connection and delayed power supply, the toilet construction for security guards, the delay in the appointment of security staff among the further delay the inauguration.
Authorities of CIMS have written to the government that informs the requirements, “said Cims Dean and Director of Dr.
Sanjiv to Ti.
