Chandigarh: The Department of Secretary of Punjab on Monday registered Fresh FIR against the former Director General of the State Police (DGP) Sumedh Singh Saini on disproportional assets and under various parts of the prevention of corruption law.
Personnel Department of Precautions also gathered at his Chandigarh residence to arrest him and to attach the property.
A new pine has been registered against Saini after the Department of Precautions gathered new evidence of disproportional assets and under various parts of the prevention of corruption which became his vigilance raided the house to arrest Saini, said a senior vigilance officer at anonymity request.
The local court in Mohali previously issued orders to attach property in the case of disproportionate assets examined by alertness.
According to sources at the alertness bureau, their personnel reached Saini’s house before noon in an attempt to arrest him.
It hasn’t confirmed whether Saini is at home.
Z-plus security personnel did not allow detectives to enter the house, the source added.
Orders for property attachments, a house where Saini lives in Chandigarh issued by additional districts and judge sessions, PS Grewal, on July 16, and the court also directed Saini to deposit a monthly rent of Rs 2.5 Lakh with a court.
Until the process process does not end.
The Department of Precautions is investigating property purchases with polluted money allegedly on Saini’s orders.
The department has submitted an application in a court that sought property attachments.
According to the case file, the accusation is that Nimat Deep Singh, an Xen serving (executive engineer) Punjab government has received bribes and contaminated money on behalf of his Father Surinder Jeet and Convance with him.
The polluted money was UDED to buy a house in Chandigarh on beholder Jeet Jeet Singh Jaspal.
However, it was actually bought for the former DGP in his retirement, and proved to have been given to the rent after renovation in October 2018, according to the details of the case.
