New kerel case; fell steeper in hospitalization b’luru

Bengaluru: The number of people in need of hospitalization in Bengaluru has reduced more significant than the number of new cases reported, revealing data analysis for 60 days.
Between July 6 and August 19, Bengaluru had reported 28,898 cases, and 1.852 or 6.4% needed inpatient.
But the percentage of cases of hospitalization – the number of people received from the total case – in 15 days ending August 19, only 4.2%.
That the number of cases also decreased means the absolute number of people who went to the hospital had seen a significant decline.
Even though this might seem like a decrease in the severity of the case, experts warn of drawing conclusions.
“This is a temporary period and one should not repeat the mistakes carried out shortly before the second wave onset earlier this year.
While reducing a good number, there needs to be a new strategy that allows balancing everyday life with a virus, for the latter seems to be here to stay , “said Giridhar Babu, an epidemiologist and member of the Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Consultation Committee (TAC).
Expert: Vaccination must include a distance in faster pacebabu, also a member of the Karnataka Covid-19 Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), explained, the government or local administration needs to constantly identify key elements that must be tracked – such as the growth of cases, death – To trigger a response every time they break the predetermined level.
Fifteen days the average new case and hospitalization for 60 days showed that in the first 15 days – July 6 to July 20 – Bengaluru reported 10,922 new cases, with 8.5% require hospitalization.
The daily case reaches an average of 728, while the average 62 needs to be accepted.
The total new case in the next 15 days is dipped by 39%.
There was a decline of almost 57% in the number of people in need of hospitalization.
The next 15 days saw a further decline of 7.6% in case and 25% in hospitalization.
And, between August 5 and August 19, there were 5,231 cases (down 14.5% from the previous 15 days).
Only 222 (Sauce 25.2%) need to be accepted.
New daily cases in this period were 349 and the average reception to the hospital was 15.
Senior virology and TAC members Dr.
V Ravi said: “The second wave is not about the base of the stone and goes with past experience, we know covid – According to the behavior (taxi) is easier to say than done.
Therefore, while we continue to uphold taxis, vaccination is the best tool for dealing with viruses.
“Indicates that vaccine coverage in Bengaluru has been good – more than two twotirds of the target population has gotten Jab – The first Ravi said the focus had to shift to the district at a much faster speed.
“The use of vaccines in some districts is worrying.
There should be no room for satisfaction,” Ravi said.
