Thiruvananthapuram: The Minister of Higher Education R Bindhu will inaugurate the new Laboratory Block of the Central Polytechnic in Vatiyorkavu on Wednesday morning.
The new block has been built using Kiifb RS 5.9 Crore funds, VK Prasanth MLA said representing Vatiyorkavu.
He said three new multilevel blocks would have six laboratories for mechanical, civil and electrical flow and were part of the mission to change this polytechnic to be the center of excellence.
Polytechnic which is on the verge of losing affiliates, witnessing massive development works according to the guidelines of the accreditation body.
Already the construction of a new library and new streets on the campus have been completed.
The new bathroom block has also been added to it.
