Gurgaon: commuters traveling inside and around sectors 109 and 112 can soon find their travel smoother, with the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) plans to build a 720-meter main road in the area.
Officials say they are currently looking for public feedback.
“It will be a fully new main separator road that will be built to provide residents and commuters with alternative and easy travel between the two sectors.
This project has been planned by considering the needs and demand for the population,” said a senior GMDA official.
In its current form, this project includes the construction of a Master Road along with roadside drainage.
It also involves the creation of concrete sidewalks and road safety installations and devices such as road stud and traffic boards.
“At present, we have installed a proposal detail on the GMDA website for public consultations.
After feedback is obtained and entered if possible, we will float tender and allot work,” the official said.
He added that the project, after starting, it is expected to take around eight months to complete it.
Located close to the Delhi-Gurgaon border at one end and Dwarka Expressway on the other hand, both sectors 109 and 112 saw a high level of vehicle vehicles when they accommodated the Church, Temple and Gurdwaras, as well as commercial spaces and housing communities.
The resident has welcomed the GMDA plan.
“The new road will definitely help residents.
My only concern is how long it will take this job for truly resolved because the agent seems to have never been able to comply with their schedule,” said Dhan Singh, a resident of Bajera Village.
