Hyderabad: New National Political Party with the main objective is the welfare of migrant workers, both in the country and those who go to the Gulf and other countries, will soon be launched.
Two activists at the forefront of taking the problem of migrant workers have come out of political parties they are associated with and have started a platform that will soon take the form of political parties.
BHEEM Reddy Mandha, President of the Emigrant Welfare Forum with Congress, and Nangi Devender Reddy, President of the Gulf Telangana Workers Association which was associated with BJP, out of their respective parties and said national political parties for ‘Pravasis’ (both internal and international migrants) Formed to fight for migrant rights and welfare.
They announced on Monday that they had conducted consultations with representatives from several states in Delhi recently and discussed about the neglect of migrant workers both by the state government and also the central government.
A ‘national network for migrant workers and’ national federation for migrant workers’ will be formed in relation to various social organizations and trade unions.
Swadesh Parikipandla, president of the Pravention of the Trade Union Partner, and Dr.
Asma Khan, a medical professional who returned from Oman, said they would actively pursue setting the proposed political party.
