New police chiefs assume Workplace

Coimbatore: New inspector general of police (IGP) of west R Sudhakar, deputy inspector general (DIG) of Coimbatore scope M S Muthusamy, Coimbatore city intellect department assistant police commissioner S Murugavel and assistant commissioner of police (ACP) of Coimbatore town west sub-division Manikandan took control on Friday.
Sudhakar is currently a 2003-batch IPS officer.
He served as an assistant superintendent of police (ASP) at Ranipet and Virudhunagar and has been advertised as superintendent of the police.
He functioned in Dharmapuri, Pudukottai and Thanjavur.
He had been deputy commissioner of police at Adayar and Pulianthope at Chennai.
In 2007, he had been advertised as deputy inspector of police and published because joint commissioner (north west ), joint commissioner (traffic) and joint commissioner (east) at Greater Chennai Police.
Afterwards, he had been introduced as DIG of Madurai range.
He had been encouraged IGP a couple of days back.
“I shall apply Covid-19 standards around the eight districts in the west and take action to decrease caseload,” Sudhakar stated.
