Ahmedabad: The new IT / ITES policy of 2022-27 which was launched by Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel on Tuesday will encourage new investments in the IT sector of the country, according to industry players.
The promoter of IT companies that grow at home and industrial representatives have called brave policies that will be ‘difficult to neglect’ for IT companies who want to make fresh investments in India.
Tejinder Oberoi, Chairperson, Gesia IT Association, said: “IT Policy / Ites 2022-27 is a brave policy with a 360 degree approach.” Oberoi added: “This will help companies willing to make new investments through expansion or fresh browser with capital expenditure and operational expenditure support.” He continued by saying: “The government has also put a long-term vision to build skilled labor capital.” This policy promises to produce around 1 lakh direct work for the next five years and encourage India’s IT exports to grow eight times from RS 3,000 Crore at this time to Rs 25,000 Crore.
In the midst of a higher friction rate, IT companies lose their profitability while serving labor costs.
“Unique capex-opex models will definitely help the industry fulfill most of their overhead and allow them to meet the workforce needs comfortably,” said Jaimin Shah, the executive director, Dev was limited.
“Therefore, the company will be able to increase their profitability.” Shah added: “Subsidies to prepare data centers and cable landing stations will also strengthen IT infrastructure in Gujarat.” Industrial players also indicate that the policy will accelerate new investments into the city gift.
Tapan Ray, Implementing Director and Group CEO, Gift City, said: “This will further accelerate the existence of technology related to technology in the gift city, which quickly becomes a hub to lead the company / ites in the state.” He added: “This will also increase Fintech and Startup activities, bringing up quality employment opportunities, which leads to overall prosperity in the region.”
