Jaipur: Purchase Agreement for solar energy and wind projects that end in 2019 will be extended and producers can begin to supply to discounts, according to the statement by the Department of Energy.
In 2019, after the end of the PPA was signed for five years for REC projects, the Department of Energy did not renew the contract quoting that the energy level had dropped significantly.
The producers have asked for legal assistance.
Subodh Agarwal Energy Secretary, Secretary of Energy, said that the department has decided to update the project with a new level of Rs 2.44 units for wind and RS 2.24 for solar power.
The department expects the power manufacturer to draw court cases and fresh PPAS ink with discounts.
Agarwal said that this will reduce power costs.
