Administration limit for the number of visitors to manage the crowd
Starting next week, Nandi Hills took visitors as long as they could find a place to park.
Chikkaballapur district government has decided to limit the number of visitors to Hill Station on Monday.
Until now there is a parking space available for 310 cars and 550 bikes on the hill.
This new rule is a measure for managing a crowd of visitors during a pandemic.
On average, Hills Nandi sees almost 1 time crore visitors every year.
In the last weeks a number of Rs 6,500 have been collected well from visitors because they do not wear masks.
Gopal N, Special Officer Nandi Hills, said, “This is a pilot project.
We need to find a way to control the crowd by following the instructions given by experts.
Around 1,500 to 2,000 visitors visit Hill Station on weekdays and around 3,000 to 5,000 visits during the end Week.
Two weeks ago, there were more than 8,000 visitors so we had to send it back.
Visitors will not be allowed this weekend.

}
This new rule does not apply to trekkers.
Initially officials wanted to arrange offline processes to issue feedback to visitors at the foot of the hill.
Now they want to open the parking slot for online bookings too.
They have decided to make 50 percent of the available slots online and the rest will be available offline.
Previously, the administrative plan was to make the entry of visitors to Nandi Hills.
Now, the administrative district of Chikkaballapur has planned to build a parking plaza near the foot of the hill (Nandi Hills Cross) and 3.5 hectares have been identified for this.
Detailed plans have also been submitted to the Horticulture Department.
According to the previous plan, those traveling to Nandi Hills must park their vehicles and take a vehicle managed by the government or the KSRTC bus up.
This prohibition will help reduce pollution on the hill and reduce plastic waste pollution too.
