Navi Mumbai: The newly discovered jumping spider species from the Thane-Kalyan region has been named after respecting the brave Mumbai Cop, Tamanam Ombale.
The other spider jumping species found recently from Aarey Colony has been named after researchers and diligent spider naturalists who died earlier.
Species Icius Tukarami was named after the ombale of the Ombale who managed to capture the ajmal terrorist Kasab alive, but was seriously injured while doing it.
The second species of Aarey Colony has been described as Phintella Cholkei, has been named after Kamlesh Cholkhe who died last year.
