In two waves of previous pandemic when the inability of hospital beds and oxygen supply was the main challenge, CCIC had proven to be the biggest Savior.
These centers are not only isolated patients but also reducing the burden at the hospital ensures the availability of beds for critical patients.
The group meeting that manages isolation centers called by Municipal Corporation (SMC) on Wednesday where representatives of 28 centers joined.
In a week some major CCics will start functioning.
1,615 beds have been planned to be established in different insulation centers.
Insulation centers will arrange doctors and nurse staff and additional support from SMC.
“At present, 1,615 bed facilities will be arranged in CCICs that will be upgraded, if needed.
CCIC is not only useful in isolating positive people but also helps people who need who will get all the facilities needed at the center,” said Bachhanidhi Pani , Commissioner of the city of the city.
Interestingly, CCICs came as a savior for patients who came from outside the city far from Saurashtra and even Maharashtra too.
Oxygen support is not available for patients in most villages and cities and must be shifted to the city when other major cities in this country have also faced severe oxygen shortages.
“No death recorded in CCIC during the last wave and only 200 that must be shifted to the hospital.
This shows the effectiveness of CCICs,” said Dinesh Rabari, Deputy Forest Conservator, Social Forestry, Letters, who coordinate CCIC in the city.
