New York City Respects Important Workers in Parade Up Canyon of Heroes

New York: Pandemic will look like the worst time to start working as a nurse at Manhattan Hospital, but there JUSTIN Davis is the last spring, trying to desperately help patients hit by Koronavirus while worried about their own health.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a 43-year-old resident is among those who stepped into New York City when it was a pandemic center, an option that requires leaving his wife and three small children for a situation full of uncertainty and risk.
, “I came because I wanted to do something to make my family proud,” said the military veteran.
His family will have the opportunity to express their pride on Wednesday, along with a large number of New York residents, in the parade respecting important workers for their efforts in getting the city of New York through a pandemic.
“This is a very big thing,” said his wife, Jennifer Davis.
“It’s amazing.
We just have to come here and be here for him, to support it and celebrate it.” Davis will be in a parade in the float sponsored by Amn Healthcare, the employment company he worked for the one who sent it to New York City and then other places throughout the country last year to work in a hospital that was swamped in Covid.
“I think it will only be cool,” Davis said.
“And hopefully it can bring closure.” Parade is scheduled to start in Battery Park and travel Broadway in Manhattan Lower, Iconic stretch known as the hero canyon, which has held a parade that respects world leaders, celebrities, and a winning sports team.
The last parade before the pandemic respected the US women’s football team after their 2019 World Cup victory.
City officials said the Marshal Grand Parade would be Sandra Lindsay, a health worker who was the first person in the country to get a Covid vaccine shot.
Other respected workers include transportation workers, first respondents, education and child care providers, and utility workers.
“We have many things to be appreciated, because we are underway in our recovery.
We have many things to celebrate and we have many people to celebrate,” said Mayor Bill de Blasio Tuesday.
“They deserve to march in the canyon of the hero, because it is something that is provided for the greatest people in history.
Well, here are some people who make history in the toughest clock in New York City,” he said.
High temperatures in the week have cut celebration plans.
Initially, the parade was scheduled to be attended by ceremonies at the City Hall.
Instead, the mayor and his wife will praise the participants at the end of the parade route.
Water will be available through routes and cooling stations for participants will be at the beginning and end.
