New Zealand said there were no plans to sue England DJs for Covid’s violations

Wellington: The New Zealand government said that Monday would not request the DJ Britain’s dimension to be prosecuted for violating the rules of covid isolation and creating the fear of omicron infection.
Electronic music artists, Robert Etheridge’s real name, said he misunderstood the rules when he mixed with people before getting the final negative test results.
“The Ministry of Health does not plan to refer this case to the police at this stage,” the Ministry said in a statement.
“The ministry needs to balance the effect of preventing the potential prosecution by allowing the environment that does not prevent future cases from helping with public health responses to Covid-19,” he said.
Etheridge said Thursday that he was “destroyed” to find that he had tested Posicron positive after appearing from 10 days of isolation including three days at his residence.
DJs reportedly failed to wait for the negative results from the last test taken on the day of ninth isolation, as required, before going to the public.
He has landed in New Zealand on December 16.
“With my surprise and enormous concern, I suddenly received a positive test on the twelve day, two days after my isolation period ended,” he said on the Instagram page.
Etheridge said he had received “many hate comments and abuse” following media reports about the incident.
“I want to repeat my apologies to those who accidentally demand the risk of as a result of my misunderstanding.” There have been no cases of Omicron reportedly related to Etheridge’s sightseeing, according to New Zealand media reports.
Etheridge withdrew from the performance planned at the three-day music festival, rhythm and Alps, which was held from December 29-31 on the South of New Zealand.
New Zealand, which has strict quarantine rules for international arrivals, reported a new Covid infection Monday 137 with a total of 13,883 since the pandemic began, with toll victims unchanged at 51.
